Engaging employees through
a holistic approach to wellness.
I am part of an award-winning wellness committee that invests in employees through a holistic approach to wellness, with initiatives that encompass physical, mental, and financial wellbeing. The writing sample below is from a communications campaign that incorporated all three areas of wellness and a variety of activities and resources that ensured the campaign offered something unique and of interest for all employees.

Headspace
You may have heard that mindfulness, the ability to be fully present in the moment, can have numerous benefits—everything from decreased stress and sadness to increased focus and happiness, according to general mindfulness research. But what exactly is mindfulness? And, how can you recognize it and reap its many benefits? Mindfulness meditation practice is one way to truly experience the current moment and integrate that awareness into your everyday life.
CU Healthy is proud to partner with Headspace to help you get started on your mindfulness journey by offering one year of Headspace for free! Headspace is a science-based mental health solution that offers meditation, mindfulness, and sleep modules. Click here to sign up by October 30. Look forward to future initiatives that promote mindfulness and engaging with Headspace.
Hidrate Water Bottles
The human body is comprised of about 60% water. A good general rule for proper hydration is to drink the ounce equivalent of half your weight in pounds per day. For example, it is recommended that a person who weighs 150 pounds drinks 75 ounces of water per day. The benefits of proper hydration are plenty and include maximizing physical performance, improved energy, brain function, cardiovascular health, and muscle and joint function.
Back by popular demand, and to help you stay hydrated, CU Healthy is excited to offer a discount on two different Hidrate water bottles! This water bottle tracks every sip and syncs to their free hydration app and most fitness apps. It glows when it's time to drink a little more. CU Healthy is subsidizing the cost for one water bottle per employee. If you would like to order more than one water bottle, it will be an additional $10. Click here to browse a single-page catalog. Click here to order by October 30.
