      <image:title>Oral Presentation - Junior Achievement</image:title>
<image:caption>As a volunteer for Junior Achievement of Mid-Michigan, I taught personal finance to local high school students. This program equips students with real-life skills to prepare them for financial independence after graduating. Implementing the program consisted of weekly visits to the classroom, presenting to the students orally and using a variety of material including video, slides, and facilitating hands-on activities. Over the course of six weeks, students learned about income and employment, budgeting, savings, credit and debt, and more. The opportunity to volunteer with Junior Achievement was rewarding for many reasons. First, it pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me build confidence in public speaking. More importantly, I treasured being able to provide these students with resources that are so vital for success after high school. It is my hope that the students with whom I was fortunate enough to interact are able to call on these skills as they enter real-world situations in the future.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Copyediting - Training Magazine Top 100</image:title>
<image:caption>Training magazine’s Training Top 100 Awards ranks companies’ excellence in employee training and development programs. The ranking is based on myriad benchmarking statistics and a range of qualitative and quantitative factors including training costs, scope of training programs provided, detailed formal and informal training programs, training linked to business goals and strategic initiatives, evaluation levels, and business outcomes resulting from training. In 2020, I partnered with our Learning and Talent Development team to provide consultation and copyediting for their 50-page award entry. I took the contributions from multiple team members and ensured the content had a consistent tone, was clear and concise, and framed our organization in an outstanding light true to the employee development programs we offer. With the addition of my copyediting and insight, the team’s ranking improved from prior years.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan provides families with a place for home-cooked meals, space for siblings to play, and a comfortable bed close to the hospital where loved ones spend countless hours with a sick child. In 2019, RMHMM provided a home away from home for 148 families, who each stayed an average of 15 days. As a volunteer at the House, I took pride in contributing to the comfort of these guests when they needed it most. Preparing their rooms for tranquility and a good night’s sleep, cooking meals with love, and packing bags with essential supplies, gave me a sense of purpose knowing I had contributed to such an important cause.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Constellation Cat Cafe - Constellation Cat Cafe</image:title>
<image:caption>The only cafe of its kind in Greater Lansing, Constellation Cat Cafe is exactly what it sounds like—a cafe full of cats. These cats, in particular, are adoptable through partnerships with local cat rescues and in its first year, Constellation Cat Cafe facilitated over 500 adoptions. The cat cafe is open to visitors craving kitty snuggles, and volunteers help keep those kittens and cats healthy and happy. Volunteering at the cat cafe offers me the best of both worlds—time to snuggle adorable kittens while making a positive difference in my community. I help keep the cat room clean, ensure the health of the cats with regular wellness checks, and make myself available to guests visiting the cafe.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Crisis Communication - COVID-19 Pandemic Response</image:title>
<image:caption>At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, I collaborated with multiple divisions across my organization to quickly develop a blog on our intranet dedicated to pandemic-related communication for employees. I led our team in updating this vital digital resource that shared critical details as employees were adjusting to new remote working conditions, reduced capacity in our branches, health screening requirements, and more. As the organization was making the decision to implement remote work for the first time and close some branches for an unknown period of time, I worked closely with leadership to collect their oral instructions and quickly converted that information into a clear and concise written format that was effectively delivered to all employees. The blog was laid out in an easy-to-navigate page, with a tile dedicated to each post. The posts were categorized based on how the information related to certain business aspects of the pandemic, including Human Resources, Health, Member Services, and Operations. Throughout the first six months of the pandemic, over 100 updates were shared with employees through this blog, giving them the resources they needed to stay healthy, to get healthy if needed, offer them support during an extremely difficult time, and for our organization to continue serving our members to the best of our ability.</image:caption>
